Chilean Tunicate

Found up and down the Chilean coastline, the reddish-orange, rock-like Tunicate has made a comeback after years of intensive harvesting and exportation, mostly to Sweden and Japan.

Uses: Tunicate flesh has a bold strong flavor.  The meat can be boiled or cooked and is often sliced into small bite-size pieces and flavored with onion, lemon and cilantro, either as an entrée or complementary side dish.
