Hake

There are various species of hake in Chilean waters. These include the Southern Hake, Chilean Hake, Hoki and Southern Blue Whiting.

These four Chilean species of hake belong to the gadiformes order, and all are commercially valuable.

In 2014, hake exports totalled US$ 92 million.

Spain, Poland, Japan, United States of America and Brazil

Chilean Hake: October to August

Hoki: Year-round

Southern Blue Whiting: July to October
