Canned fruit and fruit and vegetable pulp and paste

Since the 1980s, canned, pulp and paste industry exports have developed quickly.

Among the principal products made by this industry are tomato paste, halved, sliced or cubed peaches in syrup or water, fruit pulp and jam, cherries in syrup or water, fruit cocktail and whole mushrooms.

In 2014 exports of fruit and vegetable conserves, pulp and paste totalled US$ 497 million.

Main export destinations

Mexico, Venezuela, United States, Russia and Brazil.
